Success Without Social Media: How Trinity Infinity Built a Career Beyond OnlyFans

SWCEO Interviews Trinity Infinity

Blog Post Written By: MelRose Michaels

What if losing your OnlyFans wasn’t the end, but the start of something stronger?

In a recent Twitter Space conversation, MelRose Michaels sits down with Trinity Infinity, a multi-platform creator who proves you don’t need a massive following or mainstream tools to thrive in sex work. From humble beginnings in phone sex to building a resilient business after multiple bans, Trinity shares how she’s stayed grounded, strategic, and true to herself.

If you’re rebuilding, diversifying, or just tired of chasing the algorithm, this is your reminder: success isn’t one-size-fits-all, but it is within reach.

MelRose Michaels: Welcome back to On the Horizon. I'm your host, MelRose Michaels, and I'm here to share what’s worked for me in building my adult creator business to make building yours a little easier.

Today’s guest proves that you don’t need a massive following or a mainstream platform to build a powerful sex work career. Trinity Infinity, welcome to the space.

Trinity Infinity: Thank you for having me. I’m so happy to be here, been looking forward to this.

MelRose Michaels: Me too. We finally met in person at Exxxotica Chicago, and since then, we’ve been planning this. In our community, one thing that comes up a lot is the fear of losing OnlyFans. But success doesn’t have to be platform-dependent. Your story is proof of that.

Trinity Infinity: Absolutely. Sex work existed long before OnlyFans. You can absolutely be successful without it.

MelRose Michaels: Exactly. I often default to saying I’m an “OnlyFans creator” because it’s so recognizable, but I was building my brand long before OF even existed. It’s wild how one platform can shift public perception of the entire industry.

Trinity Infinity: Same. I started before OnlyFans was mainstream, too.

MelRose Michaels: Let’s start there. For those meeting you for the first time, can you introduce yourself and what you do in the adult industry?

Trinity Infinity: Of course. I’m Trinity Infinity, a phone sex operator, content creator, cam model, and fetish model. I’ve done a bit of everything online, though I haven’t done mainstream studio work, exotic dancing, or full service. Everything I do is online.

SWCEO Interviews Trinity Infinity

MelRose Michaels: How did you get started?

Trinity Infinity: Right after high school, I worked at a Halloween store and met a coworker in a poly relationship who was seeing a pro dom. That led me to FetLife and some initial dabbling in fetish modeling and camming on Chaturbate. I eventually stopped because of a relationship with someone who wasn’t okay with it. After that ended, I lived in Portland with six roommates and started phone sex. I figured I’d try it out, and I started making decent money, even though I was still cleaning rooms at a hotel chain. One day, I walked out of that job and decided I’d make this work. That was seven years ago.

MelRose Michaels: That’s amazing. One of the things I admire about you is how grounded you are in your “why.” How has your background shaped your approach?

Trinity Infinity: I come from generational poverty. I was homeless as a teen. Building stability is a non-negotiable for me. I refuse to let my circumstances define me. I’ve also always gravitated toward “weirdos” and misfits, and I love that this industry gives everyone space to be themselves. There’s something for everyone.

MelRose Michaels: That resonates. I started with webcam, and my first check blew my mind. I realized this industry could be a vehicle for freedom, financially and otherwise. It gave me options I didn’t think were possible before.

Trinity Infinity: Exactly. I was comparing my income from phone sex to the grueling hours at the hotel. I realized if I wanted a different life, I had to commit to this. I don’t have a degree or a financial safety net, so I had to hustle.

MelRose Michaels: Let’s talk about the different stages of your journey: phone sex, camming, and content creation. Was there long-term planning involved, or did it evolve naturally?

Trinity Infinity: It evolved organically. I started with phone sex while living with roommates. My bills were low, so I could save aggressively. I was taking calls 12–16 hours a day. Eventually, I saved enough to move into my own place. Then came custom photo sets, then videos, and finally camming, faceless at first, because I had stage fright. Everything is built on the last thing. I go by feel. If something burns me out, I pivot.

MelRose Michaels: That flexibility is something I’m trying to embrace in my own businesses. It’s a gift this industry offers.

Trinity Infinity: Feelings matter. This work is emotional, mental, and personal. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s time to reassess.

MelRose Michaels: When you first got into phone sex, what platform did you start with?

Trinity Infinity: Night Flirt was home base, but I’ve used over a dozen platforms. Right now, LoyalFans is my main. Sometimes I rotate depending on burnout or customer base.

MelRose Michaels: Do you have strategies for burnout?

Trinity Infinity: A support system is key. I didn’t have one early on, and it made things isolating. Having friends in the industry now makes a huge difference. Also: save money. Having a cushion lets you take breaks without panic. I’m currently in a burnout phase and focusing on using my content backlog while doing things I enjoy. Even getting dolled up for yourself can help.

MelRose Michaels: That’s so real. I’ve been struggling with focus lately and recently discovered body doubling for ADHD. A friend FaceTimed me while getting ready, and it motivated me. Now we do it together. Accountability buddies make a big difference.

Trinity Infinity: Absolutely. All my friends are in the industry now, and it’s made a huge difference. They get it. I can ask them for feedback or help without judgment.

MelRose Michaels: Let’s talk about the OnlyFans ban. What happened?

Trinity Infinity: It was my third platform ban. The second time, a sub asked for humiliation, then complained I was too mean, and I got banned. With OnlyFans, it happened in February 2023 while I was updating both accounts. I was locked out, then told I was permanently banned. They never said why, just that I violated the terms. I’d tried to follow the rules but may have bent some, like having panties for sale or a wish tender link. A flagged photo set might’ve triggered it. I wasn’t devastated because I never made much on OF. I pivoted to LoyalFans, where I already had a presence.

MelRose Michaels: Was there anything you did right after the ban to stabilize?

Trinity Infinity: Not much, OnlyFans wasn’t a major income stream. I posted on Twitter about it and focused on LoyalFans. The hardest part has been collaboration; some creators won’t work with me because I’m not on OF. But it also helps weed out those who didn’t research me.

MelRose Michaels: That’s a great point. You recently won Creator of the Month with LoyalFans in April. What do you think led to that?

Trinity Infinity: Since moving to Vegas, I’ve been going to more industry events. I worked the LoyalFans booth at AVN, entered contests, and really leaned into the platform. I had a great month in March and got the email on March 31 saying I’d won. It was a surreal, validating moment.

MelRose Michaels: It’s so interesting you say that, because I just promoted my Fansly and LoyalFans profiles for the first time. Most creators think social media is essential, but you’ve built without it.

Trinity Infinity: Social is a tool for me, not a funnel. I use Twitter for networking and learning. I’ve seen creators with huge followings abandon their accounts. Internal traffic has been better for me. I want to engage with people ready to spend, not energy vampires.

MelRose Michaels: Do you sell clips?

Trinity Infinity: Yes, on LoyalFans, Clips4Sale, and IWantClips. I stopped using ManyVids after a full catalog leak. Clip stores bring in some passive sales, and it’s a unique feeling knowing someone chose your video among thousands.

MelRose Michaels: Absolutely. Do you define success differently now?

Trinity Infinity: Success to me is sustainability. This is the longest I’ve stuck with anything. I’ve hit top percentile on most platforms I use. I’ve broken the cycle of poverty, been nominated for awards, and walked the AVN red carpet. I’m proud of that.

MelRose Michaels: What would you tell your younger self?

Trinity Infinity: Don’t wait because of who you’re dating. The right partner will support your goals. I used to work vanilla jobs that were emotionally draining and didn’t pay my bills. Now, I live freely and on my terms.

MelRose Michaels: For creators listening who are overwhelmed, what’s one thing you want them to remember?

Trinity Infinity: Comparison is the thief of joy. Social media shows illusions. Do your research. Google everything. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, but do the work. Be resourceful. That’s what will keep you afloat.

MelRose Michaels: I couldn’t agree more. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. Where can people find you?

Trinity Infinity:

MelRose Michaels: Thank you, Trinity.
